WHO ARE THE WORKSHOPS APPROPRIATE FOR?
We have designed the workshops to support women at many stages along their fertility journey, including those who are struggling but are not receiving medical treatment as well as those actively engaged in treatment and those who have exhausted their medical options. At this point, our groups and workshops are not appropriate for women who are pregnant or have other children. We hope you understand.
We recognize that there is a continuum with how comfortable people are sharing details of their infertility story. With a maximum of 16 women per group, we have created a safe and intimate space. We encourage you to respect your own boundaries while also inviting you to use the opportunity to connect with your fellow voyagers.
I’M SCARED TO JOIN THE WORKSHOP. WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
It takes courage to ask for help. Following our first phone call or email, we will determine together if the workshop is a good fit for you. Next, we will schedule our assessment session, during which we will review the results of questions you have completed that are designed to help us understand more about your biology, psychology, and social support so that we can tailor the workshop material to best address your needs.
IF I COMMIT TO ATTENDING THE WORKSHOP, WHAT CAN I EXPECT? HOW CAN I GET THE MOST OUT OF IT?
It is important to understand that you will get more results from the workshop if you actively participate in the process. The ultimate purpose of the workshop is to help you bring what you learn over a weekend back into your life. Beyond the work you do in the workshop itself, we help you create a plan to practice the new skills and tools you are learning in your daily life.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TALKING TO YOU OR MY BEST FRIEND OR FAMILY?
The difference is that someone who has professional training and experience can help you approach your situation in a new way—teach you new skills, gain different perspectives, listen to you without judgment or expectations, and help you listen to yourself. Furthermore, therapy is completely confidential. You won’t have to worry about others knowing your business.
